anything you want to see at Taipei Cycle show?
I will be heading to the Taipei Cycle show next week, possibly the biggest trade show on bikes. Any new products (esp. regarding road cycling) that I should be looking out for? If there's any new product you would like up close, I will see if I could take some pictures while I am there. Pls. be as specific as possible (exhibitor's name, booth number, specific product)
here is the exhibitor's list:
https://www.taipeicycle.com.tw/en/ex...ata/index.html
floor plan of who is there:
https://booth.e-taitra.com.tw/en-US/2022CC/map/h/5

Merida (M0620), across from Giant at the main crossroads in the middle of the main floor. Are Merida bringing back the Crossway Urban? Or anything similar? What colorways are the 2023 BigNines (that is sort of a joke, I'm only really keen to know the colorways of the BigNine 300 and maybe the BigNine 500; there will be about 20 different colorways overall)? Most importantly, is there any suggestion of retiring or redesigning the BigNine? Why do some lower end speeders have Shimano Tourney hubs when they are advertised as having OEM sealed bearing hubs? Why, Merida, why? Would they consider introducing a BigNine Adventure model for bikepacking with the same BigNine TFSIII alloy frame and rigid cromolly forks with three pack cage mounts for their own cage-bag combo and mid blade eyelets? Edit: Would they consider making a Crossway Trekking model with rigid forks instead of the 63 mm travel Suntour ones? A "Crossway Touring" with rigid forks (even alloy ones) suspension corrected for 63 mm of travel, stock mudguards, front rack with a shelf like the Blackburn Outpost and Loop bars like Jones h bars or Ergotec Space Bugel bars for hardcore expeditions? Why don't they have a 16"-20" folding bike?
Then on to Giant (M0820). Will Giant introduce a new 20" folding bike to replace the Expressway? Is it the Momentum Pakaway the only replacement? If so, when is Momentum coming to other markets? New colorways for the Toughroad? How many Toughroad models for 2023? Any plans to bring back the adult ARX in 27.5 or 29? Why was the ARX cancelled?
I expect exactly 0 answers, but damn am I ever jealous. Have fun and post pics regardless, we'll enjoy them I'm sure.

Unicorns
I'd like to "see" more reasonable delivery dates on R8170 12 speed groupsets.
I'd even settle for a 58cm Cervelo R5 in stock somewhere... anywhere!!!
I doubt you'll see either of these.

Not a problem at all! I have helped to make a few "adventure" model Meridas for friends and associates recently, based on their stock bikes, and I was thinking that it would be faster and easier if they would just come like that stock, but they're a huge company uninterested in small projects like that. They do huge numbers and they're really common and popular here in South Korea. You get a lot of bike for what you pay for it.
