Cyclocross/ gravel wheel build rim question - Kinlin XC279
I am planning a cyclocross/ gravel wheel build with 32 spoke Kinlin XC279 rims. They seem to have almost the exact same design as the HED Ardeness (see images below). It is the same width, and is a little bit deeper than the HED rim, so it should be a little bit stronger than the Ardeness (I am a big guy 6'-4" 225lbs).
Question: What spokes would you recommend for cyclocross/ gravel riding?

-Weight- 490 grams per rim
-External Width- 23mm
-Internal Width-17.2mm
-Depth- 28mm
-ERD (Effective Rim Diameter)-584mm
-Material- Niobium/Aluminium

Some DT Comp spokes is what I would do...based on what I have done. Or Wheelsmith double butted spokes.
I just dont have interest in anything more than butted spokes as they are strong, relatively light, relatively cheap, and readily available.
I am a bit taller and a bit heaver.

This is a little off-topic...
I just had a wheelset built and selected tubeless ready rims. I went with HED Belgium Plus but Velocity A23 and Boyd Altamont rim are tubeless ready. The Boyd Altamont an all alloy rim suitable for road and cross & gravel it's 30mm deep and 24mm wide (external) 18.3mm wide internal.
You can always use a tube with a tubelsees rim, but if you decide to go tubeless at some point, the KinLin might be problematic to convert.

If you go with something besides double butted spokes, please post the details. Though I have only ever used PG or butted spokes and find them more than up to the job for what I need, I am interested in the less often used options(bladed, etc).
Basic J-bend butted spokes are also what I stick to because its what I am comfortable using to build...and even then it takes me some time!

I built two sets on those same Kinlin rims using regular double butted spokes. One was by Phil and the other was by Sapim. Originally wanted to go with the bladed spokes (Sapim CX-ray or equivalent) but couldn't justify the extra cost.

Get XR31 or XR22 rims instead. You can get both in offset in the rear, they are better for tubeless, and they are 19mm internal, better for gravel tires.
