Anytime after 10 am. I'm not an early morning person on the bike. I'll avoid races and group rides that start before 10am. In 2 weeks I'll be doing a mountain bike race. Start time is noon...that is my kind of race.

M-F work dictates I can only ride after 5pm.

Saturday and Sunday I'll go out late morning or early afternoon.

On the weekend, early. Just as the sun is rising. It's quieter on the roads and most of the nocturnal animals have disappeared.

On weekdays, after 9am. Less commuting vehicle traffic and it's usually a little warmer!

When I'm not going to work at 8:00 a.m. or coming home at 5;00 p.m. I like to get out mid mornings so I can get other stuff done around my house..I have a large vegetable garden and a beer fridge in the garage..so. that's what I do when it heats up in the afternoons..

Cycling early am works for me. Especially, this time of the year on account of the sun. I have always been a morning person.

Here in SE Florida, I have become a morning person. In the summer, I need to be off the bike by 10- 10:30, the latest, otherwise the heat and sun become simply oppressive. During the work week, I routinely get my 1-1.5 hour ride in starting at about 5 AM. My endurance rides begin between 4:30 - 6:00 depending on how much time I need to put in. But, as it turns out, I really enjoy riding at 4:30 AM. It's peaceful, quiet, little to no cars on the road, it's not too hot and the wind hasn't picked up yet. If I'm meeting friends for a ride, but need to get more miles in, I'll do the extra I need before meeting with them. The only drawback I've experienced with riding that early is the possibility of critters running out in front of me. I've had many bunnies, a squirrel, two possums, three racoons, and one alligator close calls at that time. In the dark, I ride with two red flashing lights behind me and two headlights: one on the bike and one on my helmet so I can point it wherever I want. When the sun comes out, I'll put that one in my back pocket.

In the morning before the winds come up and it is cooler. Where I ride there can often be 15-18 mph wind by 11am and that is not a lot of fun. Even a crosswind exerts two-thirds the vector force of a direct headwind so any wind is likely to make the ride less fun.

10am-3pm, when the temps are 65-75F, with not more than an easy breeze. That's my preference. The schedule of my life and the climate of my geographic area dictates that I don't get to enjoy those conditions nearly as often as I would like.

i wish i was a morning person, but i’m not really. feels great once i’m out there but it’s a struggle, there are other responsibilities in the morning, and my power is always 5-10% less.

if i make it out before work on a weekday, it’s for a 1.5 hour ride. anything longer is either a weekend thing with a late morning start or a weekday late afternoon.

my favorite is late afternoon / dusk, even though that’s when it’s windiest here.

I usually start my rides somewhere between 11:30 and noon. I generally go of 2 1/2 to 3 hours so this puts me back home before heavy traffic starts when people start getting off work. I mainly ride tarmac / city roads.

On weekends about 30 minutes before sunrise, on weekdays right after rush hour.

I live near the edge of a valley and descending into the first-light mist is a great way to start a ride. After wiggling through the valley for a bit there's a flat open expanse where if I time it right I get the sunrise just hitting the valley floor. That's a good ride day.

My ideal time to cycle is in the morning. Because it's a great way to start the day. I become more energetic after cycling, my body is awakened and I can be productive. Besides, riding early in the morning does not need to worry about traffic safety and hot weather.

In the summer I prefer to ride in the evening as the summer sun is brutal.

In the other seasons I prefer to ride at lunch time on weekdays (I work from home so this is the best time to ride) and start my long weekend ride mid-morning (9-10am).
