I'd just like to take a moment to caution all you pretenders and wannabes - the SF Bay Area is THE hotbed of CL kooks, so don't even think about competing. You may come close here and there, but we win on volume and price in any case.

I'm a native San Franciscan, and thought I was immune when I moved back to the Bay Area 3 years ago...not so. It's nuttier than ever.
Take a reasonable price for a cycling item, and add $25 to $200 "flake tax", then you're at typical SF Bay Area CL asking prices.
And you thought we were just ridiculous with our housing costs.....
