Finished the Soloist build early this morning. The brakes were a total PITA to get bled properly. I’m still not fully satisfied with the front, but I’m going to give it some time and see.
The bike is definitely fast compared to the Aspero.
Position is more aggressive and longer and the handling is a bit more responsive, which I like.
I went with a tighter 10-33 cassette and 48-35 crank vs the 46-33 on the Aspero. I also went with a slightly longer crank. I’m a masher when I climb and the added leverage might help.

You guys may recall that I just started using Di2 a couple months ago. I had been "checking" my battery every week and it was >50% so I was not worried.
Yesterday halfway through the ride, my FD stopped working so I knew the battery was going. I economized on my rear shifting and was able to get home. I have charged up the battery, but am wondering if anyone else has had issues where their battery went from >50% to super-low in just a ride or two?
p.s. I can post this in the 41 if not enough experience here. I figured best to start locally.

I don't think I have any digital photos from the wedding with my ex. I'm not sure I can be bothered going hunting for analog ones to scan/photo.

Forecast said partly cloudy, low 60s, so out I go to do some short but steep hill blasts.
I got in a couple hills before the weather turned. It’s raining now, low 50s. Of course I didn’t bring a vest or jacket. Descending those steep roads in the wet is a no thank you. I’m downing a coffee at Starbucks.
This is some bull-****!

It's a little worse here if that's any consolation

Interesting. I really want my kids (when the time is right) to go to Vegas and elope, and when they come back we can have a little celebration on the deck/backyard, and I will spring for pizzas and beer for everyone.
I don't think that's realistic, but hope springs eternal.

I don't know but that ship may have sailed for me. I would be up for trying something but probably not that whole thing. I did love the top of Mount Pinos when I used to go up there a lot. It's only 9K but it's definitely a different world when you get near the top.

No one mentioned that my wife is holding paper sacks. A barbecue was happening in the square and my brother stopped in the middle of traffic, essentially shutting down the square, and made everyone get out for barbecue and the pic. The police and traffic were very congenial about it.
