Question about ordering from Raleigh corp
So I've seen in this forum and others corporate codes for the Raleigh bikes corporate site where there are pretty significant discounts. I did sign up on the Raleigh corporate site for a free account. Is there any catch? I just ask because the discounts are really good. When I signed up it didn't list out any specific criteria one must meet to have a corporate Raleigh account so I assume it's okay.

I assumed there was not since I assumed if there was there would have been conditions explained when I created my account. I think I'm going to order the Raleigh Tamland 1. Seems like a good all around steel frame bike

I have a friend looking for a bike and thought this may be a good route but can't seem to find a current code...

I assume some assembly required. (For some people, that's just an added benefit. But maybe not for everyone.)
I think the last code I saw was CYCLE4PERK.

Interesting, when I try and use that code to create an account it says "The Corporate Code you entered is invalid"?! There do appear to be some decent deals even without the corporate discount, but they could be better if the code would actually work to create a corporate account. Most of the info I had found on the code was from November so I thought maybe it had an expiration to it and had expired. But now I am even more confused...

If you joined the Raleigh Corporate site with a valid code, you will be able purchase in the future, even if the code has expired.
I joined last year with a code that is now expired. I also purchased today without needing a current code.

Then the code changed to cycle4perk, which is the same as diamondback's corporate site.
Odd that its now expired. Im sure another code will come along shortly.

This was my other thought, which makes perfect sense. Now if they would just release a new code so I can join, mostly for a friend, but I can't say that with some of the prices I wouldn't be tempted to look closely at the options in the future for myself.

Your new bike will get stolen and you'll cry.
You can get it sent to a raleigh dealer and they put it together for you however.

My Niner came from Jenson USA with pretty much the same minimal assembly. I would've assumed the same with Raleigh, but I haven't had experience with their direct sale, so I couldn't say for sure.

I think it's probably similar. I thought I saw on their website 85% assembled.

That is what the site says. I just ordered a "commuter" single speed that shipped today and would have likely gotten the Roker Comp if I had known about this in November. Actually still looking at the option as it appears it may better fit my "needs". And this all started helping a friend find a gravel bike...

Great deal. This bike came down $100 or $200 in the last few weeks.I have the 16 Tamland 2 or would have order the same bike.
No catch.I started the thread about this sale awhile back.Bought the Tamland a few other bikes from Raleigh corp sale.

A moderately skilled home mechanic can set up the bikes in an hour or two. Nothing wrong with taking it to a local bike store, if you know a skilled professional technician.

My Roker Comp arrived with the rear wheel and the chain installed. It shifter well enough on the workstand without needing adjustment. The handlebars, seatpost/saddle, front wheel and pedals require installation. The owner should also go over every fastener and check tension. I'll do this before and after the first few rides.
