Trainer stand question
I didn't know which forum section to post this, but since I am 75 I think anything I post should fit here. :-). I've had the same trainer for over twenty years. Today the belt finally broke on it and I can't even find the company that made the trainer to see if they offer belt replacements. This was my second trainer, the first being one where the tire is on the roller, which seems to end up leaving small pieces of rubber on the floor. The one that just broke is different in that the rollers are rubber wheels that are horizontal and run on the rim, one on each side. I went online to see about getting a new one but can't find anything like that. Does anyone know of such a trainer? Thanks.

Replacement belts for old roller trainers are available. I just replaced mine late last year.

I'd think there'd have to be some kind of identification on a trainer – even one two decades old – as to give some idea of who made it.
Measuring a belt's a fairly easy task if you have a caliper or micrometer. Even estimating dimensions with a tape measure'd get you close.
Pics would help, yes. (And I'm a few weeks shy of 75 myself so kudos to you Pelirary for getting started with a trainer a lot earlier than I can lay claim to!)

I can't figure out how to load the photo into this reply. I have. the pic I an album on this forum but that is as far as I can get. And I thought I was pretty good at stuff like this. It seems every site is different. :-(

Thanks for getting the photo posted. Interesting…I’ve never seen a trainer like that. But…I did a simple internet search for “small fan belts” and saw this belt that looks very similar to the broken one in your pic — Amazon link for belt
