Miele ATB - circa '89?
https://www.bikeforums.net/g/album/30555250
A cycling / hiking / beering Fri-enemy dumped this on me, as I am the local old bike vortex.
Doing the bare minimum internet research a while ago, I found out Meile... Miele was an Italian racer who moved to Canada to build road-race bikes. At some point during the ATB boomlet, this 4130 steel frame got into the mix.
I've already got several 26in wheeled bikes: my '89 Panasonic MountainCat set up as a tourer / pub "racer"; '90ish RockHopper set up for trail riding as it easily clears a 2.3in tire; an '89 Bianchi Impact my son has a Detroit-cruiser
Anything special about Miele ? I was going to donate. Then I decided to put some studded tires on it, which is leading to repacking bearings first, and it'll just cascade. I can tell......
Anyway - it seems like just a basic - decent '80s ATB that won't sell these days.
Any other opinions?

Yeah, looks all original. Unless you have to move it on, I'd keep it just like that. Probably a copy of the Salsa roller stem. If it is a Salsa, those are very sought after.

ATBs/MTBs from that era have little to no value. If it had XT parts, those can have value. Ditto pedals. But it doesn't have those parts. If I was given that bike, I would donate to the local co op, where donated consumables and donated mechanics time make all the difference. Me, I can't get what I spend on just the consumables.
I've got a late 1980s Fisher, that will be dismantled for parts.
Some of the higher end models like early Stumpys do have value. I recently picked up a 1985+/- Fuji Mt Fuji LTD that is pretty interesting.
