Bianchi - oldish. What vintage is it?

Hi,

My dad had two bianchis in his garage and gave them to me. He doesn't know much about them. Anyone know what these are? What they are worth?

This is looks like a 2001. It seems to need a good cleaning and the rear derailleur looks like it might be broken. According to Bike pedia it retailed for around $750. I think if you just want to sell it as is $300-350 is a good starting point but depending on your location you may have to take less. https://www.bikepedia.com/Quickbike/...spx?item=35874

A friend of mine has an old Bianchi with full Campy components. Is his built-up bike worth much more than just the Campy group? It's in great condition.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

It depends on lots of factors. Sometimes you can net more parting out but you can get stuck with hard to ship items like wheels (especially if they are the type where the tires are glued on) and the handlebar.

It also depends a lot on the year and if the bike is truly “full Campy”. Around ‘95ish Campanutella startling build several complete groups to compete with shipmano in lower price ranges. Most of these mid tier bikes are better sold as complete bikes.

Any pics? Is there a model name, tubing decal, or names on any of the components? You should be able to upload pics to your album and we can see them.

A guy asked me how to fix a wobble in his wheel. I stopped by to take a look. Set of Spinergy. They became unbounded at the hub. Put that on my don't buy list.

not if you want to keep your fingers -- they are almost (almost) as dangerous as red hot razor sharp disc brake rotors

Most of the time, if it has higher end Campy parts, the parts are worth more than the entire bike. Not all Campy parts are higher end.
