Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Some of the Craft, Castelli jerseys, and most of the Assos jersey fall in that category. Expensive though, relatively speaking.

Cool - I've got a Castelli on the way (though their 2011 looks a little more busy) and I'll check out the others. I think that I'm going to place an order here (https://www.torm.cc/index.html) shortly - evidently, Rapha wasn't flattered by the similarity.

The only thing I don't like about Castelli is their sizing. I'm 5'9", weigh ~160 and their X-Large bibs are a tad too tight on me. I normally wear medium!

That's odd, because at 5 10 150 I wear a medium in most brands, and though the Castelli medium is certainly tighter than most, I find it to more comfortable than my medium Cannondale bibs.

Hooks Ant+ devices to an Iphone or Ipad.

Going to use it to have the power meter display on the Ipad with this https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ez-tr...16019086?mt=8# on the trainer.

Seems cool. Hard to tell from the page, but can you watch your own video and have the power data overlay it? Like, say, watching Terminator 2 while having your power data in the corner, or can you just watch their videos?

I'm pretty sure you can put your own video on it, but I haven't set it up yet.

Thule Round Trip hard case.

I decided to take my Waterford to NAHBS in Austin for a Saturday AM 25-mile group ride by a bunch of us that regularly post in C&V, and bought the hard case at REI so I could carry it as checked baggage ($50 each way on Southwest). The bike and case survived the round trip from SFO to AUS without a scratch. It took about a half hour to disassemble the bike and pack it, and about the same to unpack and reassemble it.

The case:

I switched to travel with a Bike Friday because even with the Thule hard case, my road bike was getting dinged up. TSA was always messing around with it and changing my configuration of packing.

I enclosed a photo of the bike packed in the case with instructions to TSA screeners to repack it exactly as shown in the photo to avoid damage.

If they messed with it, they did a great job of repacking it just as it was.
