1986 Basso Gap with Mavic / Litespeed Classic Team Issue with Dura Ace 7700
Found both of these on my local CL, and debating on which one.
Can't find much about the Litespeed, but I've been wanting ti for a while now.
The paint is really, really bad IMO, so I want to strip it, but have heard that would decrease the value, thoughts?
The Basso frame is in pretty poor condition paint wise, but the Mavic groupo interests me, so I wouldn't mind doing a paint restoration down the road.
I was wondering what I should offer for them... Thanks!

Less than the seller wants but more than you want to pay.

Looks like quite a difference in size, which one fits? Basso looks like a better value, but I am pretty poor with Ti prices

Both would fit well, the Basso would be a bit big for a while, but I'm still supposed to grow a couple of inches

Then the Litespeed will be too small for you in a couple years, $1k is an okay price but not for a bike that you can only ride for a little while. The Basso is really sweet, full Mavic group, looks like even the pedals, and the paint is fine. You can touch up the little scrapes. Repainting the bike will cut the frame's value in half or worse; definitely don't do it - plus a good paint job and decals will cost more than the bike.
I'd grab the Basso.
I'd grab the Basso.
