8 Speed D-A mini group

I’m not into racey stuff so I would like to move this along to someone that is. I have a vague $$ number in my head but just seeing if it jives with reality. The cassette may be NOS or very little use. Overall I would say everything is in lightly used condition.

Depends, depends, depends.
Tooth count on cassette?
English or Italian bottom bracket?
Crank arm length?
53/39, 52/42, or some combination thereof?
Clamp size on FD?
What does back side of RD look like?

I could be interested myself (feel free to PM me) but those items would, I think, determine whether the components would fit/work with a potential purchaser’s bike and size.

I suspect there may be a few prospective buyers for this lot. Maybe a conflict of interest If we start throwing out prices Buyers will want to know crank length, cassette teeth and gear count, and shifter index count.

As for pricing, I’d look at sold auction values for each item on ebay and then factor a deduct for fees, tax and low-hassle convenience when selling on a forum like this.

I’ll get all the specs and post them soon.

I tried doing an eBay search for sold items but wasn’t having luck. I’ll take another look soon.

I’m sure there will be quite a bit of interest in these bits….

Search for solds on individual pieces, rather than a group. DA 7400 stuff sells every day. Crankset is the most valuable piece.

Looks to be in great shape.

Don’t cherry pick your examples; low end is more like $300 and a full group with calipers recently sold for under $450.
Like many things on eBay, prices are all over the place, but you will definitely get highest return by selling pieces individually.

When looking to sell a complete group, I, too, look at prices of sold individual items. I also check to see if there are examples of complete groups that sold. When adding up individual items, I look at the total and then subtract 20% to 25% for the group. This is seen, by me, as a reward to the buyer and a heck of a lot less work for me to sell, respond to questions, pack and then ship each item. I try to not be greedy and exercise my right to exercise my laziness when ever the opportunity allows me to do so.

As for value. Were I buying the mini group, emphasis on mini, I would pay up to $350.00 including shipping. If selling, I would hope to get $400.00 plus the cost to ship. But I would settle for the $350 plus shipping if need be.

Probably best a la carte.
the cassette is pretty tight
long arms, good chainring pair
nice rear mech
english good but for example I have mostly Italian threaded frames.
shifters good, cannot tell for sure if they include the fittings to match the frame and go over the ubiquitous Campag form factor bosses.

Opposite of Randy, I prefer selling parts somewhat individually. Brake calipers #1, brake levers #2, shift levers #3, crankset with bb #4. rear dersilleur #5, front deraileur #6.Lots of buyers out there looking for just one part.

Shipping wise, I find shipping parts in smaller groups to be very efficient, each item either in a flat rate padded envelope, or even first class mail. Gets a larger audience of potential buyers too.

Now sometimes the parts can do better as a group. If so, I go that way instead.

Might want to include the clamp size on the FD.

That might be the prize for someone looking to upgrade a non-braze on for FD.
