Very cool frameset.

I thought this looked familiar, I posted it 3 weeks ago. It was a hundred bucks less on NYC CL for $250. Only up for a week and disappeared. Looks like he started the eBay account yesterday. Local pick-up only.

It looks like the front fork is original to the frame but has had it's paint removed, the chrome on the fork looks rough compared to the chrome on the rear stays....

He stated that the forks are raw, so somebody stripped the paint for some reason. They probably thought they were polished chrome underneath.

The crankset and the rear derailleur on the yellow Merckx look like my C Record. Somebody here should really check that one out. The wheels alone, if C Record in good condition, would be worth the asking price.

Those are all great deals...the best deal is the one that fits.

In terms of flipper potential, the best deal is the one with ergos/c-record. I would hope we're talking about best deal to buy though.

Trek 400

Looks decent for someone shorter than me. It needs bar tape and the cables are a bit long for my tastes. Is there a good reason to swap the large and small rings like that?

https://worcester.craigslist.org/bik...233288567.html

TREK 400 CR MO Steel RACE BIKE - $200 (FRAMINGHAM)

TREK 400 RACE BIKE VERY LIGHTWEIGHT IN GOOD CONDITION.
NEEDS NEW HAND GRIP ONLY. ASKING FOR $200 OR BO.
Seat Bar 19"
Tire 27"
Pedal Arm 7"
Fit person under 5.5Ft
Very Light weight

Also, can you give me pointers on the best way to post a link here, so it'll include the pictures and all? I assume it doesn't involve pasting a link for each individual picture, but maybe I'm wrong...

Cheap single-speed

https://worcester.craigslist.org/bik...242992497.html

1970s Fuji Special Tourer - $80 (Worcester)

1970s Fuji. 53-54cm frame. Found it in rough shape ten years ago and I stripped off some rusty components to make it single speed (not fixed gear), gave it a new saddle and made it lighter with some 27" aluminum wheels. It has some small scratches/rust marks and the front wheel brake is very loose but it definitely looks cool and makes a great knock-around bike.
