Those two words don't belong in the same sentence.
Frankly, unless you are doing this for historical interest or as a proect on "Infomercials", don't waste a minte of time or a nickle on trying to repair an Autobike. They never worked properly when brand new.

I bought two Autobikes, his and hers, about 10 years ago new from Seattle Traders, the outfit that bought the leftover inventory from the original sellers.
Paid about $160 total. The only bikes we owned until I bought another for spare parts only to discover that the derailleur was slightly different. the hills have gotten steeper this year and We need more gears. The three Auto bikes are free to a good home, but you must take all three, I need the room for our upgrades.

My father could use this type of bike in the P.T. Department. Saying patients could learn stability and balance. We live in Scranton, Pa 18504 and are interested in your post. Pls. reply.

A friend of mine got two of them, one for her and the other for a friend...they didn't work quite right...would I mind taking a look at them? If you're writing about the same as I worked on there are three weights that climb the spokes? One worked the best it could with a little bending of the RD and some lubrication, the other would double shift on it's own whim, but never beyond 4th or 5th. I returned them better than they were, but just not what I suppose the engineers designed. Good riddance.

What parts do you need? Many of the parts are standard issue, excluding the drivetrain. You can also convert them back to a regular derailleur or SS bike fairly easily and inexpensively.

Your best bet is a donor bike. People often dump these bikes cheap.
