What is your favorite fade color combo and/or splatter paint?
It can be your bike or one you've seen. I am repainting a Cannondale CAAD3 this winter and have been looking around at options.
It will definitely be an early 90s vibe.
A handful that stick in my mind are below. Clearly I gravitate to AllCity paint schemes from the last 6 years. Looking for some ideas outside of my easy button choices below.

I hated this color combination but has it ever grown on me. I can honestly say that, of the few or many color fades that I have owned, this has to be my favorite...

I love all these crazy colors, I have a black Cannondale with green splatter that is sick and I used to have a bubblegum pink black splatter diamondback that looked awesome too. I think black or white with orange splatter would be sick and then get a custom logo that looks like an old Nickolodean logo. I like the Kleins with the color changing paint too.

Only fades and spatter paint? How about fingerprints..
can't say it's a favorite, but it's mine and I haven't seen another one.
.
The pink and white fade on my Titan looks OK.

Those far-out Titan frames still hit a nerve for me. I'd ordered one back when they were available, but they lost the order and eventually refunded me. What was it, Paint by Dossenta? or something.

This is the only fade paint job I own, so I guess it's my favorite by default.

I raced for Team Parkpre as a teenager, so these have a nostalgic tug on my heartstrings.

Blue with silver splatter. Not as bright as some, but looks good up close.

Not mine, but I have one like this in the same size. It's not a particularly outstanding splatter scheme, but it's kinda unique in that it looks more like thin tiger stripes in person
The early 90's Tequestas have a variety of splatter and fade scheme. For more info, see google

Though I never owned one, I've always liked Centurion and Diamond Back's smoke and marble fade liveries. Outside of that, I was never big on fade paint schemes. I did have a first year GT Karakoram with the black and white crackle paint, while my wife had a Rocky Mountain Hammer with black web splatter on red paint.

I like spumoni in red white and green - but for an Italian bike, of course.

At least you'll be able to identify the culprit. Or their kid, more likely.

This is the only fade painted C&V bike in the room. I purchased it, not because of the paint, but the brand and model, Pinarello Montello.
I am sure it looked good when new but not with the level of Patina it now has. Kinda ugly up close but OK from a mile. Despite the Patina, I have had a few "great looking bike" from those passing by.

I gave this aquamarine fade Yo Eddy to my son back in 2010. Always thought that paint scheme was the coolest.
He promptly did a drop bar conversion on it and used it for bike touring.

As for the Cannondale you mention, I am pretty sure a friend's older brother had one of those. An early 90s M700? It was rigid and had electro-green splatter.
