Just finished this today. When i first got the frame, it was a total disaster. The cable guides and shift bosses were cut off. And in the process, cutting through the frame in a few places. The chrome had serious rust and pitting. But with all that, here it is.

A definite improvement, to say the least!

Did you simply place the internal TT cable guides at the point(s) where the tube was perforated from that hack-job Drew?

Sharp all around.

Very nice! I like the color choice. I'm in the process of modernizing a Merckx MX Leader with campy 10 speed, I hope it looks as good as your Ciocc.

I welded everything up first, grounded it all smooth and started from scratch.

Super nice.

Very hot to say the least.

The contrast between the orange and black is just right.

Can't wait for a ride report.

You've certainly given this frameset an exciting second life.

The vibrancy of the color reminds me of the bright orange they use on Black Mountain Cycles cross and road bikes.

It just pops off our monitor here.

How many coats of clear did you go with on this one?

Yeah, i did a little experimenting and went crazy with the clear. I usually do around 4-5 coats, but i think i did 8-9. I like the results with the more clear.

So do I.

Deep, rich and cheery.

I can see myself buzzing around the Tuscan hill cities with that charmer.

Change up the gearing a bit and I could get lost for days on that sweet Italian.
