Who makes a good push pull 2 cable shifter?

Having a lot of problems with my new NuVinci N360 stock shifter and looking at some type of replacement shifter. My cables keep jumping off the cam inside the shifter.

I use a left-handed Rohloff shifter with my N360. It works great, and I like it much better than the bulky NuVinci shifter. The Rohloff hub's indexing is at the hub, so the shifter works continuously. I haven't been able to detect any lost range using the Rohloff hub, and the 1-14 labeling is more informative than the "graphic" display of the NuVinci shifter. The Rohloff shifter does not have any barrel adjusters, so you'll either have to place some inline or be precise when cutting your cables. I don't use any, and just cut my cables precisely.

Mine is the left handed version of the one in the video on the page to which you linked. It was indeed very easy to set up.

They really are not that " Handed" to matter.. maybe the numbers printed are upside down , in the flipped position .

since both cables Pull, its just a matter of which cable goes where .. I'm using the old Tri Lobed Aluminum machined Grip shifter,

I ignore the numbers molded in the rubber , just shift up/down till it feels right ..

Upside down numbers would drive me crazy; I'd have to remove them. For a similar reason (along with its unnecessary bulk), I didn't simply mount the NuVinci shifter in the left. But you're right about them being fully functional on either side.

On the new version of the shifter, which I have, the numbers are printed on the aluminum housing.

I had no desire to cover up the numbers; they're provide useful information.

Since I had to order a shifter anyway (the NuVinci hub doesn't come stock with a Rohloff shifter), it was easier just to order the left handed version.

Right. Like the OP, I have a NuVinci hub, with which I have been extremely happy. It's a fantastic hub. I was less pleased with the shifter, which was too big for my tastes and had a not very useful graphical ratio indicator. I ordered a shifter from Rohloff, which is smaller and functionally the same as NuVinci's shifter, and is also available in left-handed version (without any hacks or workarounds).
