Yay for me.

Went to the cardiologist today for my checkup. Its been two years since a stent was put in my mid-LAD artery. I've been on Plavix since. The doc said my vitals were excellent so said I could drop the Plavix. Very happy cause I'm tired of bleeding like a stuck pig every time I cut myself.

True. Instead of a new bike I'm looking around for new non-aero wheels for my Cannondale.

"non" aero? Or do you mean "new Sunday shoes" for the EVO? A nice bike is deserving of nice wheels.
Glad to hear the positive health report.

That's one small win for a man, one big validation for bicycling. Thanks for sharing the good news!

Just say no to drugs! (Or get your doctor to).
I'm glad your health is improving.

RonH: Came over to 50+ forum per your suggestion in the Introductions thread. Left a message for you over there after you replied to my Introduction post. We have some similar experiences with successful results from health issues (re: your post on the General's comment in Introductions thread). I now see we've also had similar "stent" experiences. You have one, I don't. I went into the Angiogram fully expecting to come out with a stent, but it was just a shadow on the films from one organ laying on another. What a relief to come out of that procedure without a stent. I'm very glad to hear you're doing so well with yours. Continued good luck.

Congratulations!
Alas, I'm on Plavix for the rest of my life, no matter how good my numbers get. Stent is right at the top of the Left circumflex and doctor says I won't survive if it clogs up. I ride because it's fun and I hope it helps to keep the stent open.
