Hello from Eastern Washington
I have been reading posts on this site for a while and decided to sign up. Like most of the northern tier states, we are short on daylight and freezing. I had just finished rebuilding a 1960 Raleigh Sports with a six speed conversion. I will have to wait until spring to ride it.
Anyway, just checking in and will continue to read posts to see what other people are doing.

Welcome aboard, the Raleigh should be a great ride come spring time. Post some pictures of it in the Classic & Vintage Forum for us to enjoy.

Thanks all for the "warm" welcome. 4 deg. F this morning, might get up to 10 today.
I bought the Raleigh Sports about a month ago, complete with locking fork, light set with '59 dynohub. Some one tried to convert it to a nine speed using a Moyne 3 gear cog, but failed. I don't think it has been ridden in 40 years. Cleaned up real nice.
Yes, I will post pictures when I can.

When it warms, if you head west let us know. Lots of companions for riding here in the Puget Sound.

I love Washington...where transit buses can ice skate gracefully, and the deer and the anarchists play ![Smilie](images/smilies/smile.gif)
(from Walla Walla to Tacoma and the Space Needle...now where are those pennies I smashed?)
