Happy Thanksgiving
a super doopa Happy one to all of you.
Going to try to find some time to ride our bikes over the long weekend. Have to paint kitchen and have family dinner to go to, friends visiting, and so one.. but if the weather cooperates I will try to ride a little. Found a cool quickly to add e bike help motor/battery kit to quicly add to my bike. I am wondering if I can keep up with my wife who has the big bad Bionix bike.

Happy Thanksgiving! Celebrating my bday today and turkey tomorrow, so by the time I finish stuffing food in my pie-hole, I'm gonna need some loooong rides to make up for it. Fortunately, sun shining good weather. Have a great holiday, ya'll and ride safely.

Here in the UK we don't seem to celebrate thanks giving nowadays although I think the US tradition originated from English settlers (not sure) but Happy Thanks Giving to all across the pond.

It seem that in North America that we took the British thanksgiving and ran with it and made it more official. A paid holiday in both the US and Canada... though in different months. Halloween is much like this too. Celebrated more in North America than it is in Ireland.

Thanks, folks. You are cracking me up....I've double downed on food with birthday carbs today and turkey/pie tomorrow. If I don't ride it off, I will just end up feeling gross. Plus, I got my new Travoy to try out =).

Work keeps me away from home on Thanksgiving in the last few years. Below is a shot of my local Merida bike on the Thanksgiving Day in the hilly Kigali. After much torment I decided against taking a Brompton along in order to better integrate. Next is a shot from the last stage of Tour du Rwanda last weekend, couple of blocks from my local base.

FWIW, Thanksgiving Celebration (including a sharing of turkey with Native Americans that was later copied by another outfit) lead by Friar Juan de Padilla in Palo Duro Canyon, Texas Panhandle, May 1541, Coronado Expedition. Hope yours was as good as theirs!

I had no idea that turkeys were indigenous to southern climates. Mind you, I never actually looked it up. But as a kid, I recall lots of history with the Pilgrims in Massachusetts with turkeys but none with the Jamestown/VA settlements.
