Avid Shorty 6 replacement pads

I am having difficulty finding replacement brake pads for my Avid Shorty 6 cantilever brakes. I went back to the LBS where I bought the brakes, but they don't carry the replacement rubber inserts. The inserts are 70 mm in length. Does anyone know whether there are other brands that will fit my brakes.

If they are 70mm, these will be the v-brake pad design.

There are 3 main designs of cartridge pads currently available, 2 for road bikes (Caliper rim brakes) (1) Campagnolo and (2)SRAM/Shimano/Everyone else, these are both approx 55mm long, but Campagnolo aren't compatible with the other design; then you have v-brake pads (like the ones your describing), which are long (70mm and thin) these are available from multiple brands, any LBS should carry one brand at least, probably more, you don't need to stick with a specific brand, unless you have carbon rims, and then you stick to what the rim manufactures advise.

Kool Stop has a variety of pads and replaceable insert pads too.. sold thru bike shops.

Kool Stop International - High Performance Bicycle Brake Pads Since 1977

I like them better than what Avid/Sram includes with brakes.. even like KS Disc pads better than avid BB7 stock .
