New Alex R450 front no fitty 2007 Specialized Langster fork?
The new wheel axle seems to be about 1mm bigger than my old wheel and will not fit my fork or Pinheads security nuts.
What is this noob missing?

It didn't work for me.
Problems:
1. instead of a circle at 10mm, I have an oval at 10mm. It's still too thick for the nut's threads to catch.
2. The threads themselves are only 1mm, so the two flat spots are indeed flat now.
Secondary random question after busting out the calipers:
1. The axle is measuring a little over 9mm (9.27ish) and the Pinheads security nuts measure a little over 8mm (8.27ish). Would these be called 10mm and 9mm?
Because that seems a lot closer to 9mm and 8mm.
Regardless, it is still the same problem.
The help is appreciate.

The filing should make it fit the fork dropouts. Probably not gonna be able to use the pinhead nuts. So just buy 10mm track nuts...

Think about it for five seconds. The axle diameter is still 10mm, so you'll need to use size M10 Pinhead nuts. Or you could just throw the Pinhead nuts in the trash because they're stupid and lock your front wheel to your frame like everyone else.

I was an over eager idiot and filed both sides top to bottom.
Oh my.
There is a chance I can still return the wheel, which I now realize I should have done in the first place.
It came with M10 nuts. The whole reason I was trying this was to get the pinheads to work. I need them.
We'll see how that goes.
