Velocirque June 16 !!!

Here's the official announcement - the next Velocirque will be on June 16 at 4 pm at Velocult. (But you guys already knew that!)

Right smack in the middle of Pedalpalooza, so you folks traveling from afar should stay a couple days and enjoy all the other bike events and rides going on. Shift to Bikes

BFCV is the founding core of Velocirque, so bring your cool bikes and plenty of them . . .

Morning ride will be announced later. We might (actually, probably do) need a ride leader . . .

TOTALLY in! My Masi will get the nod, as it is well overdue for some bike show glory. The "Is that Dura-Ace on a Schwinn?" ["You better mother-trucking believe it!!!"] Prologue and Guerciotti will wait their turns. Can't wait!!

I'm going - that's the last day of school, but my English professor said we don't have to come in that day

I'll stick around overnight, too, and ride on Saturday at least once. Looking forward to seeing some peeps I've not seen in ages...

I’m in! Unlike buddies @RiddleOfSteel, @Andy_K or @Andy Antipas with their difficult (and lovely) choices of “What beauty shall I bring this time?” I’ll just have another subtle variation on one of my pair. Oh well...

Planning to come down Friday afternoon, spend the night, ride, show/talk bikes, and drink interesting beers on Saturday. Not sure about Sunday, since that’s Father’s Day.

Will there be a Bike Swap Meet on Sunday?

I have been cleared for this VeloCirque w/e.
Car loaded with mother/daughter stuff and a dog so bike space is limited (gotta check my old rooftop carrier).
The bike to ride is of primary choice, so I ask, "Where is the ride going?"
For show, either the DeRosa Pro (original build), or the Mondia Special (period correct, but I changed saddle and wheelset).
Probably a fendered bike for the ride. I was a boy scout = be prepared.

and I quoted @Dfrost because I like his questions too. ..... Assuming fair weather is a Sunday ride possible?

Put me down for four of a kind at Velocirque. I'll bring my own bike stands.

Dang. All I've got is a pair of Motobecanes. Oh well, I'll be bringing them anyway.

The Pedalpalooza schedule shows about nine rides on Sunday, but if anyone is willing to pass up the rare chance to participate in a Brian Eno-themed ride, I'd be willing to join something off-schedule with the C&V crowd. The Zoobombathon could be really fun though.

On the morning C&V ride, can we get one or two volunteers to plan and lead it?

(There is a slight chance I will not be there. Death in the family last month, and I need to get down to the Bay Area to help my dad pack and move up here. Not sure when I'll be going down south but could possibly overlap Velocirque, though I will try hard to avoid that.)

Oh, I noticed Rivelo is doing an event that day from noon to 3 pm, with Grant as the guest of honor. So one cool idea for a 10 am ride might be to ride a big arc that ends up at Rivelo noon-ish, hang there, then ride back to Velocult for the show. You can leave extra bikes at Velocult in the morning, Sky is cool w/ that, he'll let you stash them in the basement, definitely better than leaving them in cars in the parking lot. Shift to Bikes

Anyone know the Rivelo guys? I want to contact them about showing some bikes at Velocirque.

Edit: OK, I reached out to Rivelo via their webform (couldn't find an email) and to Rivendell via email (to the first email address I saw on their site). So, we'll see. Would be cool if Grant came to Velocirque, no?

Really, there's a lot of fun rides during Pedalpalooza to check out, even if you don't stay for the whole thing. Cuiminating in the Nekkid Bike Ride where we may see the Raw Gugie hisself?

Edit: June 17 Wonder Woman ride!

Since Sunday is Father's Day, I'm out for any activity that day, though the/a swap sounds you, know like a totally financially great thing to take part in. I've added some Phil's Tenacious to my 7400 8-speed freehub (through the slender gap between it and the hub) in the hopes of reviving the pawls' activity as they seem fine to engage in every gear (regardless of power input) except for 4th where it occasionally slips. The best kind of surprise every time!

Did we get a volunteer to organize and lead a Saturday ride yet? I've only rarely been accused of having organized anything, but I'd like to do a ride and am possibly capable of communicating a place to meet and then riding something like a planned route while other people are more or less following me.

As long as the route includes People's Pig, I'm in.

People's Pig is easy, that's so close to Velocult. I'll noodle on a possible route. You want one that gets you to Rivelo around 2 pm ish to catch Grant?

Wait, so there's no rides scheduled for Saturday yet?

If I want to ride, is Sunday the best day to come down?

There's always a ride, just may have to wing it, sounds like the group is working on it. The show is the centerpiece, be a shame for you not to join in with the gems in your stable.

I can only come down with one, so it has to be a rider - preferably with a climbing gear or two, depending on route.
