Looks like a nice area to ride (yeah, I hit the trail at 6:15AM also to beat the heat). Gonna make an offer on the C&V truck?

What size tires are you running? Gravel road? Decaying asphalt? Other?
Looks like a fun place to ride.

Nice Lotus! Always a pleasure to see nice SunTour parts in use.
Getting out early is especially helpful this time of year! Here in central Illinois, the forecast is for temps in the upper 90's and high humidity. I think Minneapolis has a similar forecast! Crazy!
I'm also fond of rides late in the evening, when things are cooling off and traffic is sparse. Beats the heck out of dealing with the mid-day heat.

Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

Nice! I grew up in Defiance. The Great Black Swamp is flat, but you can always find roads that follow creeks and rivers.

Great looking Lotus and nice ride pics.
Interesting comment about beating the heat and riding C&V, drives me crazy to sweat all over a steel C&V bike and risk rust on the top tube. Reminds me to wax more often though!

I plan to get out tomorrow at 5am. The summer solstice is great for getting in early rides. Scheduled temperature at 5 is 68 degrees, the morning air has a weird smell when it's that warm that early.

In the first picture the anti-theft cable looks like a robot hand with 6 fingers that clings onto the top tube ![Smilie](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Gotta love these rides in the morning countryside air.

I often do 20-25 milers at around 6am. Wish I had today too, as it was already in the mid 90's here by noon. Means I'll probably ride around 4:30-5pm instead.

That looks like a lovely ride. I am hoping to beat the heat tomorrow. I didn't get out today and it's too late now as it is currently 101*. Only supposed to be 98 tomorrow.
