Can someone help me with this old Allez?

i have a nice older lugged Allez pro and am looking for one for my wife to slap some upright bars and make a Rivendell style bike for her. This popped up for sale and before I make the trek out to see it I figure I’ll ask here. I’m not super familiar with the Allez model hierarchy so if anyone can tell me. The guy is asking $180

Looks like a 1994 Specialized Allez Comp with Campagnolo Veloce but this one has a much earlier (80's) Shimano 600 rear derailleur.

I have owned a couple of Allez bikes and both were excellent riders, in my opinion. For $180.00, you should get the bike and give it a try. My guess is that you will both be impressed with the ride...
This one was an absolutely great bike to ride...

And this one was even better...

Looks to a a 90 or so bike in very good condition. The model is Allez and would be upper mid level. It is one of the last nicely lugged small frames likely made in Japan you can't really do much better for a vintage lugged frame in this size as a rider. All round great sports bike and very good deal for $180 if it has no major issues should be great for the OP's stated use.
