FS: 25" 1986 Schwinn Passage F/F/HS/Brakes
25" 1986 Schwinn Passage frameset
Album here.
*SOLD* $40 OBO. *SOLD* Thanks!
Or I would trade it for a 44-48 tooth 50.4 BCD chainring. Seriously! I want my Motobecane to become a 1x cruiser
I'm available to meet anywhere up to an hour-ish away from Rockford IL, so Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, etc. Maybe willing to ship.
63.5 cm seat tube center-to-top
57 cm top tube center-to-center
Columbus Tenax tubing
Hi-tensile fork
Originally designed for 27" wheels, but you can make 700C work as well. Clearance for 700x35C tires.
Frame is straight and in fair shape
******
Left fork leg was bent when I bought this, I was able to straighten it out and it should be fine to ride. I wouldn't load the bike up for a cross country tour on this fork, but it should be fine to ride around otherwise.
******
Other items included:
- Dia-Compe cantilever brakes with straddle cable and cable hangars
- Seatpost
- Headset

Great frames. I'm on a 23", though I may say double check the TT length. I don't know the exact numbers off hand, but mine is at least a 57cm TT.
Also of note;
I was able to switch to 700c with the original brakes (narrow spacing means they're about the only brakes to work on these frames)
Currently running pasela 38s on cr-18 rims with fenders. Measured width is about 36mm and I could not imagine getting anything larger going in the rear tri.

The largest I ran were 700x32 tires that measured about 34mm and there was clearance for a bit more.

Wonderful frame, a great basis for a future tourer. Abshipp was wonderful to deal with.
