Hi, from a steel bike lover
Hello everyone,
Happy to be part of this community. I`m living in Portugal for 2 years now and would highly recommend the country for bike visitors! Its beautiful outdoors and great weather calls for great morning rides with awesome views!
I used to have fixed gear bikes (had one Colnago and a Condor Pista from UK, both my passions) but since living in Lisbon with lots of hills I`ve returned to road bikes but closed to vintage models.
Nowadays I`m riding with a smooth Trek 2100 Composite (Carbon aluminium frameset) with Shimano 105 Componentes and its sweet but not that comfortable so I`m in the process of purchasing a true vintage steel bike with Columbus tubing but more recent specs to guarantee a safe ride and that I can keep up with my carbon bike friends lol
I`m happy to be part of this forum trading info and love for bike world.
Cheers

Welcome and checkout the classic and vintage forum. In 2010, I raced at the Velodrome in Anadia, Portugal. After racing, we drove from Anadia to Lisbon. Wonderful scenery.

It’s nice to see a steel lover around these days. I rode my dads hand me down Schwinn Tempo for many years and loved it. I have had many bikes over the years but enjoyed that one, maybe more so because it was my dads at one time.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcoming and some tips
I'll definitely be sticking around and will dive into vintage steel pages asap!
You are all welcome to drop me a message when back to Portugal

Welcome to BikeForums. Seeing all the vintage bikes on the C&V forum inspired me to rebuild my 27 year old Ochsner. I am loving riding it once again.
