Decals available?

Looking at a used trek 520 that has faded, tired looking paint. If I had my local body shop re-paint it are there new decals available to give it a factory new look?

Yes, there are various suppliers for most of the standard brands. If that fails...there are also vendors where you can supply your own graphics and have decals printed. (I have a set of specifically printed decals for an uncommon brand on my workbench awaiting frame refinishing, application.) In some cases, the cost is just slightly more to have them created.

Also...IRT to the body shop paint job...check the cost between that paint job and powder coating. I had a frame sandblasted and powder coated for $150. Others here in the BF have commented that they've gotten powder coat for less. IMO, the finish is just as good, and more durable than paint.

Ditto on the powder coat. I can get a bike frame/fork , already stripped and sanded by me, done with a single stage coating for $100. Velocals.com is a good source for decals.

Velocals - Have bought from them no issue
Gus Salmon

Most will custom make whatever you need from photos, measurements etc if need be.

Without providing detailed measurements, I've had no luck finding decals for a 2012 8.3DS GF edition. Tried a few local shops that custom cut decals without success.
