Wahoo Tickr stopped working after a flight in checked baggage
Coincidence, or did I do something stupid? I fly with the HRM all the time, but it's usually in my carry on. This time, without thinking, I put it in checked baggage. Cargo holds are pressurized these days, and the temperatures aren't extreme. So, what happened?

Bikes: A few older US made Cannondales, a modern Soma Saga (no longer made, alas!), and one gifted crabon Specialized. Never enough.

Dumb question, but did you try a new battery? Maybe cold did the battery in?

Yup, try a new battery.
Recently I noticed my Tickr paired fine with my bike computer and phone activity app. But not with the Elite HRV app (checks heart rate variability), which showed lots of errors and erratic spikes. And it took several minutes for the Tickr to pair with the Elite HRV app.
I replaced the battery. Problem solved.
Thinking back, I bought the Tickr around June 2019 and the battery may already have been several months old by then, maybe older. So I figure at my rate of use (pretty much daily) I'll need to replace the battery every 6 months.
If that doesn't solve the problem, try walking to another part of your home, or even outdoors, while pairing the Tickr and app or computer. Some wireless devices seem sensitive to RFI/EMI from other devices -- WiFi modems, etc. There are a lot of poorly shielded electronics out there with potential to interfere with other devices.
