Combatting chilblains on cold rides
I like to ride early in the morning, and that is becoming difficult when the weather gets into the 40s. I have had chilblains since I turned 60, which get worse every year. I was able to ride in temps as low as 37 and be okay, but this week I got chilblains on my hands when the temps were in the mid-40s. Has anyone used heated gloves that work?

Consider mittens (wind/waterproof) maybe even heated ones. In recent years I’ve found mittens provide more warmth than gloves.

For hands, the best thing I’ve found are pogies or bar mitts.
I’m one of those where as soon as my pulse goes up, I also start to sweat.
Gloves, mittens - I’ve got probably a dozen different.
None of them ”work”.
Either they’re not warm enough, or they’re not ventilated enough. I end up soaking them, and then they get cold.
Bar mitts, I can ride in a relatively thin glove, which doesn’t get soaked, while the bar mitts keep the wind off and the warmth in place.
For feet I’ve settled on a combination of ”arctic rated” cycling boots and electric insoles.
