1982 Fuji Team - head tube angle

I just picked this up. I thought it was cool that it still had the original saddle and drivetrain, and the shifters are on the downtube which was a plus for me, easier to play around with straight bars (I know, heresy).

Man, is the front end twitchy compared to my mid 2000s IRO fixed gear. This is my first road bike (I’m mostly a BMXer and used to ride downhill MTB). Is steering response typically that sensitive on a road bike? This could just be the fact that it’s a 40-year-old design 😂

Curious if anyone knows the head tube angle on this frame. Unsurprisingly it isn’t listed in the Fuji 1982 catalog.

This one shows it as 73 degrees for head and seat tubes.

I'd look carefully for front end damage: top tube, down tube, fork crown and blades. These bikes were known for their stable rides.

That to sound like a bent steertube, and or other alignment issue.

Thanks, now I know what the 73 x 73 means.

Thanks, you might be onto something. Something feels off. The bike wants to veer left and crash when I sit upright and try to ride no-handed.
