What Bike color for a black & gold Suntour group?
What color bike would go good with a black and gold Suntour Superbe group?
A light grey Trek 950?
A drrk grey / charcoal Trek TX500 ?
A blue green Trek 770 ?
Perhaps a Maroon Gilmour ?
Some other color bike?
Thank you fot your opinions

Sounds like an opportunity to buy a black frameset or a gold one.

At the 2016 Classic Rendezvous gathering, Jim Townsend displayed a few lovely Smolenski bikes. One was a cream colored frame with all(?) black components. Looked very classy! Not sure how gold parts would look as part of this mix, but I don't think it would detract.
having said that... a dark green might go well with black and gold too?? Especially if the green has some gold metal flake in the paint.

I think the group could go with most colors, although grey would probably not be at the top if my list. But it would be more about getting the right balance of other black and gold trim to make it pop.

Can you get yellow or gold decals for the green Trek? Know anyone whit a Cricut who could make them?
I think the black would stand out against the green and yellow/gold decals, cables, and tape will help the gold graphics pop.

Black, white, cream/ivory, maroon, dark green, a deep blue if you do that right. Pearl or low level flake would be best to keep the harmony. Basically this is me rounding up most of the suggestions already made and affirming them. Of your bikes, the Gilmour will do best. The lighter green would like the black components, but may fight the gold. The metallic dark grey Trek frame has a ton of flake and works best with polished bits (one of the things I like about that era of Trek), and the light grey 950 needs more subtle pearly silver components.

I have a cream-white Maruishi with the black/gold brake calipers -- brakes only, the seller worked at a bike shop BITD and built the bike up gradually, didn't go for a full gruppo. But the brakes do look sharp on that frame.

Thank You everyone, for your input. Looks like a good excuse to get another frame.
