Abbreviations?

Is there a page that i can look at that has a listing of commonly used abbreviations that are on this forum? As a new member, I would find that enormously helpful.

No, but Google might help. I can't think of any BF specific abbreviations.

Not abbreviations, and not specific to this forum, but there's a wealth of bicycle terms and their meanings here:

ALU = Aluminum. (IUPAC/periodic table abbreviation is simply Al ).

700 x 38c = 700c tires that are 38 mm wide. (Bicyclists think the c is the width of the tire in c units, whatever those are.)

40 nm = 40 nanometers to everyone except bicyclists, who think nm means NewtonXmeter. As usual, they have no idea what they are torquing about.

The list goes on, but sometimes not knowing is for the best.
