dura ace 7700 chainring bolt substitutes?

What chainring bolts are compatible with dura ace 7700? Paying 40eur for NOS just feels silly.

Chain fell off twice on a ride, fixed ur, fell of straight away, notices two bolts missing (this explaing all the creaking and the wobbly chainringa I've dealt with lol). Also, so you all use loctite in chainring bolts?

a) I'd be suprised if bog-standard bolts do not fit;

b) no, don't use locktite, lube the threads and tighten them enough that they don't slip.

(you can make a tool for the backside from a common table knife, bend the tip 90 degrees and shape it to fit with a dremel cut-off tool).

Thanks! Already have the annoying tool but when I installed this crank set last year I did lightly grease and tighten the bolts down firmly so Im surprised two popped off already :S

LBS had some stronglight bolts so will mount these now

It is silly. Any chainring bolts for 2X will be fine.

Yea was just a bit unsure about dimensions since 7700 came out some time ago now but I guess it would be equally silly to change chainring bolt dimensions

In either case, I had some Loctite 222 so I applied just a tiny film on the threads before installing.
