Andre Bertin - what is worth and year of fabrication
It has Campagnolo parts, except the seat post - American Classic; front derailleur and head set - Shimano 600.
What should be the value of the bike?
I know that I sold a Vitus frame and fork a few years ago, around 200$.
And I know the set of wheels with C-Record hubs go for 150 or more.
Any idea of the approximate year it was made?

Because of the conventional seatpost clamp it has, I suspect it's an early 80's re-branded Vitus 979 frame. Later 979's had the grub screw seatpost clamp that was Vitus' solution for the cracking seatpost clamp problems that they had with the earlier 979s.
The frame will have moderate value, as there were literally thosands of 979s made and sold and a lot of them are still on the road. Maybe 250 -300 bucks max for a frame in m mint condition, but there's so many 979s in the market that a more realistic value might be around $200, if you want it sold in reasonable time.

I am interested also in steel bikes.
But I was going after a Concorde Aquila Team and the seller changed his mind, so I came home with the Andre Bertin and the Simoncini. I took the Bertin for it's Campagnolo parts.

Judging from the decals your Bertin is an early 1980s Vitus 979. Bertin, Peugeot, France-Loire, Motobecane and several other French makers offered versions of this bike. I would think that a re-sale of the frame, fork, headset and seat pin would go in the US $200 to 300 range. That will vary by location and season as well.
