Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rear Derailleur suggestions??

Hey all. Any suggestions on a rear derailleur for my new TT build? I'm going with a Shimano 11-25, 10 speed cassette. I'll only be using friction mode for shifting. I might go with an 11-23. Thanks again, especially for your patience and help with my neverending "TT build" questions.

short cage whatever's in the parts bin or local bike co-op. That keeps it exciting.

This. That's basically what it comes down to, I think. Actually, I saw an old thread that I started about this same topic and it appears that the best modern choice is probably a short cage Tiagra. That's what I'm getting. Thanks!
