Sorry, cyccommute, I'm here now.
The most I've ever cycled in a day (meaning a 24-hour period of time) is 442 kms = 275 miles. Not that much, really, considering all the people who can do 400+ miles.
Check the results for these events:

I did this on an Easy Racer's SUN EZ-1 recumbent
only two months and two weeks to the day after
having broke my hip in the 2002 Acura Bike Ride
which preceeds the LA MARATHON.
Needless to say I am not an athelete, but
I have perserverence. :O)

Matchka, that is extraordinary. I read your page, and I bow down before you, I am amazed, baffled and flabergasted. I felt that I nearly died doing one Rockies pass a while back (Going to the Sun highway) because it was so cold going up (snow) and going down (not pedaling) and you did pass after pass after pass.
Congratulations.
Oh yes, and my longest day is something like 72 miles. Maybe I will do an imperial century one day.

Thanks.
That was my first of four (so far) 1200K events. The rest of my website tells the story of the PBP (2003) and Great Southern (2004): https://www.machka.net/ but I haven't got the Last Chance (2005) up there yet. I enjoy the long distance stuff!

My gear on the Randonnees weighs 15-20 lbs, depending on the distance of the Randonee, the predominant weather conditions, and the availability of bag drops.

143 miles with 12000 ft of climbing..Through Big Sur...Extended slightly beyond my expectations, due to searching for a campground.

151 miles in a race back in the late 80's. The "Will County Marathon" near CHicago. Legs cramped in the last 3 miles, but still finished 9th or so. My resting heart rate the next morning in bed was 105 !

204 miles in 12 hours even.
325 miles with 22,000 ft. of climbing in 3 days, on a tandem, in Arizona. At the finish line it was 'only' 104 degrees.

Well we have the high rollers now for one of the average rollers; mine has only been 158 miles in one day which I did twice and in my late 40's when I did it. This was a ride I was doing once a year before I left California 2 years ago. Funny thing, when I use to race over 20 years ago I never rode that far in one day! but yet I rode an average of 12,000 miles a year in my racing days and only 5,000 a year since then!
And Machka...good grief girl, what can one say about you? All of that might in such a petite package, your incredible!!!!!

My longest was about 120 miles.
My hardest was one day when I got the wacky idea that, because it was going to be 106 degrees that day, I should ride 106 miles...all on the Folsom bike path hereabouts.

202.2 solo in 11 hours 55 minutes, door to door including all stops. Of course, I was 50# lighter and 13 years younger.
