its a perception thing, not a real sizing assessment. The bike looks teenytiny. Looks like at least 15 cm of exposed seatpost.

I just think compact bikes are funny looking because they have the look of a bmx bike ridden by a person much too big for it. Sure, it's a 23" frame, uhuh...some kind of quantum mass frame measuring methodology in compact frame design IMO.
