Richmond: "Look out, no brakes"
The other day I went up to Richmond with a bunch of my friends to go to Panda Veg. While parking, I saw this guy riding what looked like a brakeless track bike WITH A DAMN FREEWHEEL. Also: No helmet, no gloves, tight pants, funky hat (I'll leave the name calling to someone else).
What. The. Hell.
What. The. Hell.

There is a guy around here that rides a track bike lookalike with aero rims, bullhorns, platforms and with a coaster brake hub. To each each own.

I do know about Ted Shred.
A coaster brake would have been hot, but I didn't see a coaster hub. Point is, I don't want this guy's blood on my bike or car. That's just messy.

My room mate does it. He's really good at reaching his foot around to brake. It's not as crazy as you think.

I saw a kid the other day riding in jeans with both pant legs roller, a black zipup sweatshirt with a big bike punk patch riding a Huffy tenspeed, safety levers and all. Its been said that its easier to look the part than do the riding.

I know how to use my brake. Think about it, it's like having a large braking area and being able to apply a lot of pressure on the brake because you can put a lot of your weight on it.

what did the bike look like? b/c i was riding in that area around that time but i was on my way to have my fork drilled to put the brake on...however the bike i was riding was a bit ridiculous...built specifically for slaughterama.
and getting the foot to the back wheel is not hard at all, i have a friend who did it for quite some time

i did it one night to and from a show a couple miles away. i hated it. how the **** can a person stand to do that? the expense of getting a new rear wheel will totally offset the cost of shoes.
