I had them on a bike and while I didn't put a whole lot of miles on them it is clear they are VERY durable.

Remember the chain line is different than standard...so have a BB that is chainline adjustable or get sweet looking pauls cranks.

I have the high flange hubs, ride them on road, gravel, singletrack, rocks. No problems.

Paul hubs nice, but i am tired of phrase "bomb Proof" i dony know of any hub that isnt, aside from Campy C-records.

If you want to use suginos 75s with paul hubs, your best bet is the campy 111mm BB makes for perfect chainline with paul hubs.

i'm thinking of doing paul hubs with paul cranks (road 48 tooth royal flush) and a phil bottom bracket, i just don't want to spend that much money to find out that phil hubs would have been stronger

I have been jamming them for a few months and love them very much. I am not really hard on them, but I drop curbs etc and they are great.

You will be fine...I am planning a similar setup on a custom Bob Jackson down the road...another year probably.

I have Pauls on my KHS Aero Track and Phils on the Marinoni.

Go with the Pauls. They're a lot lighter and just sexy as hell..

I have the high flange hubs and they're silky smooth after lots of hard miles in various weather conditions. Only problem I've had is that a few times the caps on the bearings loosened so there was some play in the hub. Haven't had that since I cranked 'em down pretty well last time.
