Now that carbon fiber bikes are dime a dozen. Do you think a full carbon fiber bike will hit the $1000 price range in the next 3 years? A complete CF bike under 20lb with sora or tiagra group perhaps.
I remember when Aluminum bike first hit the market, such as Cannondale, they were so expensive back then. Now you can find Aluminum bike in the $300 range.

i almost bit on a full cf bianchi for 1600 about a month ago. if i hadnt of just bought my first alum/cf bike i would have grabbed it in a second.
if you can find a cf bianchi for that cheap, im sure theres some options out there.

You sir have hit on the answer to global warming and at the same time, the answer to many bikers' dreams. Turn all the excess carbon dioxide into carbon fiber! There will be so much they will have to pay you to take it.

If this is true, I'm sure it will be under $1000. The question is when and how soon will it hit the bike manufacturers. Do you think Trek and Specialized will suddenly drop a few hundred dollars on next years model?
