BEAUTIFUL!! I wish my Legend still had its paint job without the scratches from crashes I've taken over the years. Mine is a light-pearl blue color that is very difficult to match.
Anyway, excellent. - You may want to post up in the Classics & Vintage forum - people 'there' can appraise with accuracy at the blink of an eye. Personally speaking, if I saw that on CL I'd put down 300 easy.

Here are a few pics of my Lotus legend. I got it on craigslist for $60. It was pink. Unfortunately the paint was pretty hammered so i stripped it, happy to find beautiful chrome hiding beneath. ...then i took all of the parts off... hahaha
Right now it's going through a little bit of a makeover. I love how this bike rides. The geometry is super tight and whippy. I hope you managed to hang onto yours!

I just got my lotus today, which also inspired me to join this forum to understand more about bikes lol. My bike have some scratches which I'm sad about (got it used), but hopefully with time I will learn how to fix that up. Hopefully I'll learn how in this forum.
Nice bikes btw. Great steal skwerly-b! Definately got a really good price for that!

I lusted after the Lotus Legend in the mid-80's but they were beyond my means.
I even remember their ads in the cycling mags: "Why own a Bike when you can own a Legend?"
As above, you are more likely to find a receptive audience in C&V.

I had no idea the Legend was a cult underground favorite
Dude, the Legend is a great ride. Since I found it stripped down in a friend's shed I was in love. Building it was a pleasure, and it makes the commute to work so fun I wish it was longer.
This is a 1987 Coral Legend, 48 cm frame. Parts are a mishmash, but many of them were Shimano components from the correct era, maybe they were even original, I don't know as they came from my box as well as the miscellany in the shed. The wheels are from a Ridley.
Just put the pedals on last weekend and changed out the rear cable housing - I'll do the other ones in red pretty soon too.
Vintage bikes are cool!

Your Legend is an 83 I think. Pretty sure that was the only year for Columbus tubing. Three colors blue tan and Oxide green (I have a green one) Does yours have the UKAI rims?
