Wind!!!!
My 32mi easy ride today felt more like a fast 100k by the time we got done. Fought the south wind while we were going south, it swung around to the west just in time for us to turn that direction. And on the final leg north I could feel it starting to swing around to the north and put the speed on in hopes I"d make it back to the shop before it got too bad. I feel for those who were doing the 55, 100k and 100mi routes today with the PBA!! I could also tell that the temp had dropped at 8-10 degrees since the ride start as well. Yes indeed, cold front comin on through.

rode with the mirage 9:00 a.m. group and lasted about 15 miles or so, those guys have A TON of form this early in the season. I was expecting to sit in and stay in the fat burning zone, which proved a tad difficult with 28mph spikes
climbing with a strong headwind and having cars pass with less than 2 ft. of room + empty tank = a looong deserved nap

The wind today was a great training tool. I loved every peddle revolution of it!!! I have grown to really like the wind.
