Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes. Wasn't much though.

Any miles better than no miles.

Managed to get 31 miles in, about 1,750 feet of climbing, temp about 30 with high winds and some snow flurries. It was great!

Yep. It was brutally windy here today. 15-20 mph with gusts to 30ish. Rode 90km, injuries and all...

I can't do a ride longer than 2 miles without having to go by the Rose Parade route or the Rose Bowl, so I'm just staying at home cleaning my house.

Starting the year off with a rest day, hopefully this saddle sore will benefit.

24 miles and 1800' of hill repeats planned for tomorrow. I think I'll be out of the saddle a lot of the ride, so maybe the sore will still get a little better.

Yup. -15 temp, -20 windchill. Did some pickups, the trail was nice and packed, but not enough for skinny tires. :-( To still have a little fun I didn't use the brakes.

Please comment. It makes me feel loved.

NO NOT EMBRACE THE INNER WUSSY!!!! You will burn in the deepest level of, um, well, you know, that is usually reserved for child molesters and those who walk in the theater. At least get on the trainer/rollers.

It's snowing so hard I can barely see. I love my rollers. 1.5 hours on the rollers with a good movie. Ahhh.
