Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

breaking spokes on lightweight rims.

So I was looking at the carbon sports website and I read that the carbon spokes are laminated right into the rims. What the hell do you do if you break a spoke? is that just it? the whole wheel is shot or can you send it back to them?

If you can afford them, then you can afford to replace them.

If you break a spoke, the wheel is done. They do not repair broken spokes, as they have no way of putting the replacement under tension. If you crack a rim, they will repair that damage.

They do offer a lower price on the replacement wheel if I recall.
