Classic Lugged Steel Frame Makers

I thought we could use this thread to catalogue the modern makers of classic-design, lugged-steel frame makers. I know only a very few.

Bob Jackson https://www.bobjacksoncycles.co.uk/

Vanilla Cycles https://www.vanillabicycles.com/

Waterford https://waterfordbikes.com/now/models...ommand=refresh

Tomassini https://www.ridetommasini.com/frames/tecno.html

I looked at the MASI site. They had only non-horizontal top tubes and lugless construction - not at all what I'm thinking of with this thread.

Is this thread worth a sticky?

Maybe Marin, at least a few years ago. There are several I've seen referenced in this Forum.
And Bicycle Guide had a feature on several of them a while ago.

I would add

Doug Fattic of Niles, Michigan,

Rich Gangl of Golden, Colorado, and

True North Cycles of Guelph, Ontario

and the possible addition of Ron Boi, RRB Cycles, Kenilworth, Illinois.

Add Bruce Gordon to the list. Think he only makes touring bikes? Think again. He keeps winning prizes for his lugged frames. Just see www.bgcycles.com

There are dozens of highly skilled frame builders, many of whom will do a lugged steel frame to your measurements at a reasonable cost. Not everyone wants your first born as down payment and has a 5 year waiting list.

Google 'nahbs' for an intro.

Here, I'll do it for you:

Maybe not a modern revision of classic bicycle building, but they have been making bicycles the same way ever since classics weren't classic... never overlook the obvious!

Alex Singer

Also.. one of the best:

I's Bicycle Grand Bois

and another - TOEI
