Still problems with the seat and the post...

My seat and post seem to want to move constantly. The seat rocks, and the post goes down when I go on a bumpy part in the trails. Any suggestions? I can't tighten anything anymore...do I need it replaced? Any suggestions on which parts I should look into? Thanks.

Could be one of a couple issues. The first is the quick release or seatpost collar is bad. That's the cheapest fix...just replace the collar. Could be the seatpost is the wrong size. For that, you'd need a new seatpost. The worst case scenario is your frame is stretched. If there's a good fix for that one, I don't know it.

Try cutting a small piece of aluminum out of a tin can (coke for example) make some tiny shims, Shim until your post won't move. But don't go to far as you may screw up your downtube

Or skip the quick release and go with a bolt on. Then you have absolute control over the tension.

what kind of ride do you have, I got a jamis trail x2 and had the same issue, i ended up just replacing the post with a new one. I hade to take a hex wrench on the trail with me and fix my seat every 15 min.

I have a Gary Fisher HKEK...I took it in and they just needed a special tool to tighten the clamp. That's it, now it works great!
