Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Where can I find a 45 tooth chainring

that is also Campagnolo ten speed compatible. I need this for junior gearing, and none of my local bike shops have been any help. The closest I could find online has 46 teeth (https://www.poshbikes.com/product.php?id=161), but with that still puts me over the roll out limit with a 12 tooth cassette. Does anyone even make this size chainring, or do I need to do something else to make the gear roll out without changing my cassette? I'm trying to keep the cost as low as possible, and any help would be appreciated.

Here are two chainrings, its going to cost about 40 bucks for a new chainring. Thats the one thing that sucks about Campagnolo, the cost and lack of readily available components.

Go to the Salsa cycles website. They have a 45t chainring that will work. It says that it can only be used for 1-9 speed, however, it can be used for a ten speed.

The only difference between this chainring and a regular chainring is that the Salsa chainring has no ramps or pins which helps with shifting. Even though this is true you will not be able to tell a difference.

Bottom line: buy the salsa chainring. you wont be disappointed. I had this same problem not too long ago, and I am very pleased with this chainring.

Probably easier just to get the right cassette: Miche here, or Mirage/Centaur will be less of a hassle, and worth a few extra bucks.

Yes they are. I guess it would just be easier for the OP to buy a new 130 BCD crank or just go with the 52-14.

OP: unless you have some extra bucks to spend then I would just block out gears for this season and save your money for one of the choices above.

Juniors shouldn't be using Campagnolo.

More seriously though. I can't find one.

I wish I could have just done this when I ordered my new Centaur group set for christmas, but only 12-25 cassettes were in stock at the time. which is why I'm strapped for cash and really can't spend more than 40 dollars haha.
