I am not happy!!! I cannot find gloves that i like! I have the Giro bravo road open finger gloves but they are just OK for me. I like the Monaco Gloves but they are $45!!!! Any suggestions? I want nice padding and a decent life.

I found Performance Bike gloves to be both cheap and decent. I like the gloves with the gel padding.

I don't wear gloves. I use cork tape and raise the bars.

+1 The Performance Century Gel Gloves have met my needs. At $20 a pair, they work just fine.

I've been happy with PI Gel Race gloves in the past, but this year I've been swapping back to more traditional old-school gear. I picked up a couple pairs of Nashbar crochet-back gloves. They're comfortable, and while the padding isn't superb, it's adequate. I hit up the palms with a little bit of neatsfoot oil to really soften them up (which I know is terrible for the stitching, and I complain whenever anyone uses it on a Brooks saddle, etc.) But for $11 a pair, I'll be plenty happy if I get 1 summer's use out of them.

There's always the Rapha Grand Tour Gloves, if you've got $160 burning a hole in your pocket.

Ken Hill in the Mountain bike thread suggested Iron Clad gloves. They are work gloves, high quality and about half the price of bike gloves. Find them online and you will have a huge selection to choose from. The padding goes from very light to the gloves you use with a Jack Hammer, now we're talking padding. Those are overkill.

A decent life is about a year.

Use bicycle gloves, not weightlifting or work gloves that don't provide for ulnar nerve protection.
