Tour de France
I am looking for any recommendations on watching the last day of the Tour de France in Paris this year. My wife and I will be in Paris and we are wondering if it's better to get grandstand tickets or walk around the Champs-Élysées. If you say it's better to walk around, what is the best area to watch the tour roll by. We are staying very close to the Champs-Élysées so transportation will not be an issue on race day. We are open to any recommendations from people who have been in the past. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Thanks for the tips. We are staying at the Crillon hotel (I think it's the same hotel as Place de la Concorde) so we should have a great view from there. Enjoy the tour and again thanks for the tips.

I have a couple friends in Europe right now, and they have both found that just going on the route somewhere, not the crowded areas, are by far the best. but you'd probably want to be on the finish line or as close as possible for the last stage.
